For this you use the equation Y-Y1=M(X-X1) where X1 and Y1 are the points and M is the slope so you get the equation:
Y-4=7/8(X-4)
Simplifying gives you the equation:
Y=7/8X+1/2

That is easy, y=mx+b y=7/8x+b

Substitute (4,4) fot y and x 4=7/8(4)+B
4=3+B
B=1
final answer- y=7/8x+1

The eqn is (y-y1)=m(x-x1)
Your Answer is y-4 = 7/8(x-4)
8y-32 = 7(x-4)
= 7x-28
therefore, the reqd eqn is 7x-8y+4 = 0

y-4 = (7/8) (x-4) which becomes
y = (7/8) (x-4) + 4 which simplifies to

y = (7/8) (x) + 1/2

y-4=7/8(x-4)
8y-32=7x-28
8y=7x-28+32
8y=7x+4

y=7/8 x + 1/2
