It is possible, but there would have to be software installed on both computers to do this.

An example is Webex's Remote Support software. I use this on my network. http://www.webex.com/smb/remote-support.html

There are many other programs out there that will do this also.

yes this is possible here's how....

Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a graphical (GUI) desktop sharing system which uses the RFB (Remote FrameBuffer) protocol to remotely control another computer. It transmits the keyboard and mouse events from one computer to another, relaying the graphical screen updates back in the other direction, over a network.

VNC is platform-independent — a VNC viewer on any operating system can usually connect to a VNC server on any other operating system. There are clients and servers for almost all GUI operating systems and for Java. Multiple clients may connect to a VNC server at the same time. Popular uses for this technology include remote technical support and accessing files on one's work computer from one's home computer.

VNC was originally developed at AT&T. The original VNC source code and many modern derivatives are open source under the GNU General Public License.

hope it helps

No, they can share files when "File and Print Sharing" is enabled, but one cannot monitor the other like that. Be aware that if File and Print Sharing is enabled in My Network Places that the other computer can pull temp files/cookies/internet history off your computer.

Dr. House, he didn't ask whether it was possible with additional software, he just asked if it was possible given the above configuration. If you use GoToMyPC.com, PC Anywhere, Net Meeting, or any number of software programs it's possible to monitor activity. That being said, you would need to have the program installed onto your computer for this to work.

The only other thing that you could have on your pc that would allow others to see what's going on in parental control software that runs silently in the background and monitors what's going on.
