When Madam Speaker Pelosi went to Syria to engage in diplomatic discussions the neoCons went nuts saying that Pelosi and her delegation (which included Republicans) were encouraging terrorists and therefor were unAmerican traitors deserving of dire punishment.

Condi Rice was just in Syria in attempting a similar diplomatic endeavor. is Condi Rice now considered an unAmerican traitor by neoCon Republicans? if not ... why not?

The republican talking points today were: Polosi is not a diplomat and had no business going there. But then you just ask: What about the republican members of congress that visited weeks before Polosi?

no she is not considered a "traitor". The reason Pelosi was chastised for going is because foreign policy is dictated by the executive branch. It is not the speakers job nor does she have the authority to represent the USA in the manner she did. In addition, the president specifically asked her not to.

Just curious, how would you define a neoCon Republican?
I would define one as some one who is on the outer fringe of the republican party. The only difference between a neoCon and the Wackjobs you have in Democrat party is that the neoCons are still "on the fringe", your Wacko leftist uneducated freaks make up at least half of your membership.

Different job descriptions. Secretary of State. Handles foreign policy. Speaker of the House. Handles domestic matters. Never the twain should meet. Should Sec. Rice go in and take over the Speaker position? In my opinion Mrs. Pelosi was doing it for political reasons. I believe it was to damage the President. What did she accomplish by her visit.

Condi Rice went in her official capacity as U. S. Secretary of State - it's part of her job description!

Nancy Pelosi went in order to embarrass the current administration and to become the Queen Bee in the D.C. hive instead of Mrs. Bill Clinton!

To "iamct01": I have already complained to the local staff of my Congressman, Dave Hobson (R,OH), that he went there with Pelosi, and have asked him to explain why, since the President specifically asked them not to go!

If Republicans hate blacks, they particular have a standard way of showing it. Bush appointed Condi Rice to Secretary of State, a place that provides her great press insurance, precisely what one needs to launch a bid for the Presidency. In different words, Bush gave Condi the prospect to run for President on a silver platter. Admit it, if Condi might enter the race, she might have a lock on the Republican nomination. Republicans might rally around Rice. style of kills your "Conservatives hate blacks" argument, does not it? George W. Bush has appointed extra blacks to workplace than the different President. George H.W. Bush appointed Clarence Thomas to the splendid court docket. Wow, that Bush relatives in basic terms hates blacks, do no longer they? evaluate this: the overpowering majority of persons who had to stay below Communism have been fated to stay their total lives in cramped, grimy, noisy, non-air conditioned residences. Blacks who enroll in the paternalistic courses of the Democrats are fated to have an analogous, mediocre existence. President Bush suggested the "mushy bigotry of low expectancies". keep in mind all those people who claimed they could no longer hit upon a activity, and subsequently lived their total lives on welfare? properly, almost all of them are actually effective, working electorate, free of the seize the Democrats set for them. looks to me, Democrats are people who somewhat hate blacks. they only want their votes. **************************************... Guru: you are the common Lib. you're making the main inane assertions with the intention to maintain from admitting you're incorrect. TOKEN BLACKS? As I stated, Condi is totally poised for the PRESIDENCY............ repeat: THE PRESIDENCY OF the u . s .. it somewhat is hardly a token place. If she might settle for our nomination, Condi might maximum possibly become the subsequent President. approaches to denigrate that as tokenism is previous me. It could desire to be yet another occasion of Liberal "questioning".

Apparently our Government doesn't have a clue as to how the Muslim Culture functions. They have no intention in honoring any agreement with anyone who is not Muslim. Usually they don't honor agreements with each other. They certainly are not going to honor an agreement with a woman, Muslim or not. So why are these Women allowed to go there??? Maybe it is to display our ignorance.

Condi speaks FOR the President, not in spite of the President.

Condi's job IS international diplomacy (Her very job being international communications by definition). Pelosi's is absolutely NOT international ANYTHING.

OH NO!!! Condi is doing the work of King George! They would never label her un-American. She was probably there to find out what Pelosi talked about when she was there.
