Hey yeah I was just wondering. I thought it would reduce the number of people that decide to be careless enough to drive drunk.

personally, i think the crime should fit the punishment. i don´t think they should be locked up for ever, living off of our taxes if they killed people while driving drunk...i think they should get the death penalty.

how ever, if they did not cause any problems, no accidents, or any thing, a slap on the hand, a small fine should be sufficient to make them think about what they did, plus the fact if it is a televised execution of a vicious drunk driver will certainly hold some wait for others to think about.

that's my opinion

Put to sleep? Why are you engaging in such absurd euphemism?

Execution may be an appropriate penalty in the case of a death of another person killed by a drunk driver, but just for having a drink and getting behind the wheel? That's absurd. I know a number of people who are probably better drivers with a couple drinks in them than a lot of lousy kids are stone cold sober.

No, having their license revoked for a year or so should be enough. Of course if they end up killing someone, some prison time seems appropriate.

To the person who said that all felonies should be punished with the death penalty, does that include tax evasion? Check the law before you spout your extremist ideologies on the Internet.

No. Instead, I think that either parking lots in bars should be removed, or else that kooks like M.A.A.D. should be banished from existence. Candy Lightner and her ilk have some serious issues. Let them deal with their pain, loss, and misery, in some other way other than being on a "mission". For them, I would recommend "community service" or some other form of volunteerism. Losers.

I def. think so, you see 16 year olds even killing people after a party or killing them selves and others. My grandmother was killed a few years ago, the man only going 11 months. He still lives in the same town as us and its a small town, we still run into him all the time. Its disgusting to see him living a normal life seeming as if he doesn't even notice that he just took away a wife, mother, sister, daughter and a grandmother.

once you pump between now and your date, keep and freeze a number of it. That way you do not ought to rigidity about it not being an endless bottle. even as i develop right into a sitter as a teenager (a thoughts too some time previous!) I had a confirm tell me that they did precisely what you do. allow the infant devour/drink until eventually they are drifting and then positioned them contained in the crib. If the infant began to fuss i develop into meant to substantiate he develop into ok and then merely go away him. so long because the fussing did not bypass longer than 5-10 minutes i might want to easily allow him fuss. i did not imagine that oldsters were undesirable mom and father because of that....merely that they had discovered information to get their infant to sleep. i imagine you ought to inform the sitter.

If they are a true alcoholic, then they will still drive drunk regardless of the consequences. It's a disease of addiction, not a choice to go out + kill people.

Then a lot of freaking people would be dead.

People are quick to pass judgement on those who are arrested for DUIs but I'm sure quite a bit of them have driven after having a few drinks.

Get serious.

no, but it wouldnt hurt for judges to enfore the law. i know first hand. Someone i know has had EIGHT dui's since they were seventeen. all but three were thrown out because he beat the system. He has never served any "real" time but just a couple nights to cool off. Thank God he hasnt hurt anyone(but himself, coutless vehicles, and one state landmark).

I don't think it would make any difference. If you're drunk enough that you think driving is safe, then you're not going to be thinking: "oh I'll die if I'm caught".
