Go to my classroom website at: http://home.dc.rr.com/raff/U.S..htm once there, scroll down the page past "African American History" and you will see "Civil War" about 3/4 of the way down. There are many websites there that deal with medicine, doctors, nurses, hospitals, etc. In fact I just finished updating the section since my classes have a Civil War Project at the moment, too. (grin)

The War Between the States? Lee, Jackson, Houston, Davis, Beauregard Lincoln, Grant, Sherman, Stanton Never heard of a civil war, unless you mean the Spanish Civil War, then the only important person I know of is Franco.

I would try National Museum of Civil War Medicine in Frederick, Maryland. I am sure they could give you more information than you could possibly ever want.

Yes, I do. 'The Military and Naval History of the Rebellion in the United States', W.J. Tenney (1866 Edition) Stackpole Books is one good source. Also, try civilwar.com, go to Links, then go to Medicine. If you need any further help...
