Ha Ha Ha I see you found that the void of missing laundry does exist. Its particularly found of socks and will take one side of a pair. I think this is done for a reason, kind of like a don't cry over spilled milk kind of thing. Either that or the clothes gremlin is up to no good. Ever got the right and left side of 2 different pairs? All my socks are the same kind but I ended up with 2 different pairs and no trace of either side.

I know! The same thing happens to me! I know for a fact that there is a laundry eater inside the machine that no on tells you about. I have bought too many pairs of socks! Why cant they ever take the dirty, stained ones? Why do they always have to take my crispy, clean white ones?

This is what's called Left Behind. One sock was saved and accepted Jesus Christ so it went to be with Him in heaven. The other sock still needs to stay on earth awhile longer and accept Jesus into its heart.

You really should have posted this over in R & S....
but here goes anyway:

It really depends on the state of the sock's sole.....Did it have holes? a little raggedy around the edges? did it need darning or ---gasp--- damning?

These things are only for their Creator to decide....
so perhaps you should call Burlington Factory or the Hanes Co.and see if their names were written in the Book of Life.....

Ah, the rapture of the sox! A good theory. But honestly, I think your lover got it:

I'm not your brother
I'm not your father
Oh will you ever change your mind
I'm a gentle lover witn a heart of gold
But baby you've been so unkind, oh

Come on
I want your sox
Come on, i want your sox
That's right, all night
Oh, i want your sox
I want your... Sox !

I know. Maybe there are ghosts walking the earth without socks. But why do they just take one?
