When hubby and I are in car. We hold hands. He will pull my hand up to kiss it. I think its lovely. We have been together over 10 years. He does it everytime. Now, if a stranger would do it, I would freak out. In the USA, thats not our culture. If I was in another country, if that was their sociology and culture. I would adapt and respect their ways. I would never go to another country without knowledge of their practices.

The only one who ever kisses my hand is my youngest daughter---don't know why she does it but I find it completely endearing....
I have had my hand kissed romantically only a very few times in my life, and found it charming (can't remember who, but I think one guy was English)

If done right it can be cute and romantic, and a sweet kiss on the cheek or forehead can be romantic and sweet as well.
