I am trying to think of the pros and kaans... I mean, cons, of using the name "Kaan". OK, that was a dumb joke. But, I think it is an original, interesting name. I think you are well aware of the potential for him to be called Kaan-vict or King Kaan, etc. At the same time, I wouldn't suggest avoiding a name for the POTENTIAL of jokes that could be made. I think every name has a joke that could be associated with it, especially considering how creative school children are.
What you want to think about is, is this a name you think your son would grow to appreciate and be proud of? If the answer is yes, then you should go with it!

Your child will get teased because of the character Khan in Star Trek. It is inevitable. Even if little kids don't know it, some adults will inevitably make fun of it "Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!" (In their best William Shatner impersonation.
Or Genghis Khan once the kids learn history.
I would probably pick this as a middle name or skip it unless it had cultural significance to your family (i.e. you are Turkish. Or you are asian and are changing the spelling of Khanh )

for some reason i think of mortal kombat annihilation movie. its the bad guy that was a ruler. i think his name was kaan also

It's original I like it. But just seeing the name I wasn't sure how to pronounce it. Different is good in this case.

I think its adorable and unique. I'm sick of hearing the same names over and over again. I don't think your child would be teased like someone else said. Very Cute.
