he accually tells me the truth (or at least i think he is) but in a very sarcastic way so that i can never tell when hes lying. like i would ask him "are you cheating on me right now?" he would say yes! with at least 20 women. and i can never tell if hes lying or not even when hes telling the truth. i told him that i was onto him about that but that just makes him do it more. i dont understand how someone can love another person and intentualy confuse them like this

Oh my...I have one of those. He's a CHRONIC liar and he does this too. I'll tell you why he does it. Because it makes you crazy and keeps you guessing, and you NEVER know when he really is lying, and it makes it easier for him to get away with it. He's manipulating you, yanking your chain, Hon. It's very controlling behavior. Either get used to it, or get ready for finding out things you wish weren't TRUE and can't believe are true.

Another part of this question is ... why do you have to ask him if he's cheating on you? If you ask him this a lot, but he isn't actually cheating on you, then you're probably hurting his feelings by accusing him. If he's answered honestly in the past and you keep on asking, then why should he tell you the truth now? Of course, if he is cheating, odds are pretty slim that he's just going to give you a straight answer anyway. Maybe stop asking him, and if you catch him, dump the jerk. If you don't catch him, maybe he's actually trustworthy and you're being the jerk.

Because you let him do it. And it is a controlling issue, using the sarcastic technique covers the hidden parts on the face that people have when they lie. Like a kid smiling when they lie? Same thing, only adults know how to hide the smile but other parts on their face let you know. Like some peoples eyes squint a little bit when they lie. ANd it isnt love if they confuse you like that,

You husband sounds controlling. I'd be really angry to be treated like that. Marriages need to be built on trust. If you cannot trust him to tell you the truth without sarcasm, you don't have a good marriage and I'd tell him just that.

He's not using Psychology.. He's a smart ***.. but then again, if you suspect him of cheating, I'd contact an investigator.. don't come out and ask him. Good luck.

sometimes people have to play games or be smar butts to make themselves feel better, smarter, in control,,,etc.... you have to be strong enough to not let him or his "games/sacastism" make you nuts. dont allow anyone to treat you anyway but wonderful. you have to find a way to let him know how serious you are about it stopping. mind games are mentally and emotionally draining and after awhile it will start to effect you pysically...trust me i know!! boy do i know:)

it would help us to know why you think he is cheating. what is your supporting evidence? otherwise he sounds like a jerk, has he ever answered the question honestly?
