I can't tell you how many times I 've asked myself the very same question. But there are good points in life--just find what makes you happy. Definitely go to college, but do some research first. There are so many people I know that have degrees that are absolutely useless, or only provide jobs where they make crap for money. Find a field that will guarantee a good job. Nursing, right now, is one such job, and you can get an RN licensure at many two-year schools. Also, many hospitals have programs where they will reimburse you for your nursing school tuition.

Don't beat yourself up about life. We have all and I mean all felt that way at many points in our life. Remember this, life is about taking control and being in the driver's seat. When you take control of your life, set goals, plan, and work hard you will find that things will go your way and life won't be so bad anymore. I used to be suicidal until I found the things I love and the people I love. You are still new to this Earth. When I was in high school, nothing about it made sense and it doesn't have to. I still believe a lot of high school is worthless. However, college on the other hand is critical for a happy life. College helps you get your foot in the door for that first job where you can make a nice income. Don't forget that money is freedom and freedom is happiness. If you want happiness you must find the people and the things you love to do in life and go after it. Then, you can sit back and enjoy life. You are almost done with school just relax until its over, absorb what you can because once you move out of mom and dads house its gonna suck worse to have to work some crappy job to pay so that you can live a crappy life, a double negative (You have to work so that you can maintain your crappy life). Therefore, what you learn in school may help prepare you for college and I in all of my wisdom highly recommend that you go to college by what ever means necessary. Spend your time now finding your passions and instead of telling us all what you would like to do with your life, tell us what you are going to do with your life. The most successful and happy people in this life are ones who didn't take no for an answer. Good luck and I'll pray for you.

Awww....poor baby. Don't worry girl - you're not alone. Sometimes life can be really unfair and things can seem really hard, but that's what builds up our character. Life doesn't suck, it just throws stuff in our faces that might not be pleasent at the time and that's what people hate the most ( life sucks right now but it'll get better). If you don't think you can write the essay then don't. Don't push yourself if you don't think you can handle it, but I would advise you to put at least some effort into finishing it (e.g. 3-5 pages...). I wouldn't call you a negative person (because I'd be contridicting myself - WE ALL ARE SOMETIMES, others more then others), you're just a girl who's going through tough times and needs someone to talk to. If you want to chat you can IM me or check out my page and leave a message. Good luck with your studies - you can do it!

If you think life is hard now girliepants, wait until the real world hits ya, it's like a load of bricks. I hated school to though so I know what your saying, I couldn't stand it, drove me bonkers. You just have to feel better from the inside out, and tell yourself that you know you can do it. What grade are you in? Where I live, they offer digital online public schooling, there's no cost because it's public schools. You do it from home, they provide the computer, printer, and scanner for the program. Here it is called Treca Digital Academy. They have a web site, trecadigitalacademy.com will take you to it, not sure if it is in all states, but here in Ohio, there are more places than just this one too that offeres it, check out that option(s) because school this was is so much better. Maybe it can help you with the rest of your school years. I know a good bit about it, but not sure if Treca is in all states. Hope this can help you because I understand what your feeling as well, I used to be right there myself. Hang in there, and shop your options. Also, doing your schooling at home online is MUCH safer than the schools these days!!

Aww I have felt the same way before, but you know what? Whenever I have so much studying to do, I simply do it and as soon as I'm finish doing the assignments etc... I feel soo relief and good!
You can do it, just try it.
Sometimes when I have to write essays, I start off saying that I won't be able to complete it, but eventually after procastinating for hours, I turn off all the music and tv and computer and sit on my bed and start the essay. In the end it turns out pretty well!! You simply need time to "feel" into the essay or project!

Hang in there! I went to high school, earned two degrees and started working on another before I decided to start a family and I have to admit, high school was the worst. Get through it and life gets better. High School was the most stressful time of my life. College was much better the furtgher along I went and not I am glad I did it and am done with it and wish you good luck getting through it! DOnt let anyone tell you high school is easier than the "real world" because its not. THere is too much going on in High School out side of the homework!! Like I said, Hang in there!!!!! Best of luck!

drop out of school, then you'll find out what sucks more, the real world. high school is the most care free years of your life. i know, you dont see it right now, but 20 years from now you will. get a GOOD education, not some underwater basket weaving for world piece major. by the way, I'm 37 years old and just finished a 22 page term paper in human physiology, that sucks.

Marry someone rich.....just wait till you get into the real world....your not in it yet....the 10 page essay? that could be the report you might have to write for you job....negative people have low self esteem...try finding something good about your life instead if whining about it. I can see you now flipping burgers....or better yet...homeless

What's the point of life if everything was simple and great. With the hard, tough, and sucky times in life it makes us appreciate the good things that happen to us. Hope things get better.
