Mud turtle care?

Question

We just recieved a hatchling mud turtle, less than an inch big and I've done a lot of research but any info you can give would be helpful. Just want to make sure I;m doing everything right.

African and American mud turtles are very different and are not closely related. Their only similarities are in their choice of habitat, both preferring shallow, slow moving bodies of water with muddy bottoms, and having a dome shaped carapace.
