It depends. If they have lots of hiding places a few might make it. It's not cruel, it's just nature.

Not necessarily. I used to have a 20 gallon tank of guppies with lots of plants. I never used a breder, but with plenty of hiding places and well fed parents, I was always giving fry away so they didn't overpopulate the tank.

That is very barberic, but if that is what you want, than yes, they will eat the fry IF they can find them. If there are too may plants and hiding spots, the parents won't bother trying to find them.
I would want to keep the guppies. They are beautiful fish and sell for higher prices. WID (when in doubt) just give 'em to me1

you don't have to separate them necessarily. The mother and father won't eat them. The tank should be big enough, however. The birthing nets are pointless. The fries can damage themselves, due to lack of space, they can also have deformities due to lack of space. Chances are, they parents will be conceiving more offspring in the meantime, they won't even notice the fry.

Yep. It's best to buy one of those birthing nets. Once the fry are born you place them in the net and they can swim around in there protected from a hungry mammy and daddy.

yes they will be eaten, the parents may leave the fast ones or good hiders alone. It's kinda mean to just let them eat their babies though, don't you think?

Defenetly you need to seperate them no matter what type of fish it is no other fish can be with the babies. you need to put them in a net breeder.
