He has a superiority complex, and doesn't have compassion for his fellow man. It would hit home with me because I was a waitress once...

If he is rude to the waiter it means that the way he
treats you now is not how he will teat you in the future.

He has proven that he has no respect for people, he is
nice to you because he is on a date but after a period
of time ( say a couple of months) the first time you do
something he doesn't like he will be rude to you as well.

You want a man that even if the service is terrible can
speak with a civil tongue, even if the waiter appears
to be rude himself.

That would show you that he was only putting on a front. He probably not a nice guy,and he treats waiter bad because he believes he better than them.He has no respect for them. What would make you think that he would show you any, if this date would have turn into a relationship. The right thing to do is end this date early.

That I wasn't going out with this guy again. Waiters work very hard and being rude has no excuses, especially on a date.

It depends on why he was rude to the waiter. Was he not giving you all the service you all deserved or was he just rude to the waiter for no reason.

That they simply are trying to impress you by being sweet to you. Don't let this fool you if they are rude to the waiter they probably also look down on the "hired help" as well....Get away!!

Some people just get their jollies by being rude to wait staff, whether it is in a restaraunt or at the local shoe store. They are petty people who just have to get their own way. Look that up and you will see my EX. Later in your relationship, if unfortunately for you, there is a later, they will turn their rudness toward you.

Short answer. . .run.

It might tell me that he may be insensitive to those that do not matter to him, and that morals are not issues when it comes to dealing with society as a whole. it might also say that he is trying to show off in front of you, thinking he may have something to prove. Or bottom line, he may be just checking to see if that waiter will actually drown a fly in his soup and try to disguise it as a grain of wild rice.

That the rudeness was showing his/her true personality.

I would not be going on date number two with such a person.
