This is an old home remedy but it does work. apply bleach only to the cold sore not on any other part of ur lip! It will dry it up faster than anything I have ever used! Just am not sure it will do it in one day!! I don't believe there is anything that will get rid of it in one day or less. However, apply it with q-tip to the cold sore 3 or 4 times in a day. It will probably scab over. I would remove the scab just before the event and use Q-tip to apply pressure if it bleeds than apply lip therapy to keep it moist and or if ur a female lipstick and it should barely be noticeable.

You can't get rid of it within a day or less, but you can get rid of it within three days instead of its usual two weeks.
If it's on your lip, you can ice it. Hold an ice cube on it for two one minute intervals until it is numb. Repeat at least twice that day.
The next day it will go to the bleeding stage and be gone within two days.

This does not work if it's on your skin (face). This only works if the fever blister is on the lips and faster than Abreva. Abreva takes the usual two weeks.

I have found this stuff that I got @ Walgreens. It is made by Chapstik. It is called Cold Sore Remedy. When I feel just a little tingle I put this on and it almost goes away immediately. I would highly recommend it.

yeah abbreva is cool- so is ice, I had a nurse tell me to dry it up with rubbin' alcohol- that seemed to work too. Listen- if you gotta important function- don't go puttin GLOBs of makeup on it- that' l make it look tacky- lightly do it. then wash it of immediately after wards
