Sea Lions!! People have always thought that elephants have the best memory, but new research shows it is sea lions.
There was a case in particular of a sea lion named Rio. He was taught a trick 10 years ago and had not practiced it since then. After 10 years, Rio was able to do the trick perfectly. This led marine experts to believe that sea lions have the best memory!!

I WOULD SAY CATS OR DOGS AS THEY FIND THERE HOUSES AFTER TRAVELING HUNDREDS OF MILES' BUT I BELIEVE THE OCTOPUS IS THE SMARTEST..
