I certainly don't agree with "freedom being free": I have still have to fight for mine. Everyday. Here, in America. A lot of so called "conservatives" decide to take hits at my character (as if they knew who I was, and what I stood for) because I have the nerve to call myself a "liberal" and they think I should just shut-up.
Also, I think a pervasive sense of entitlement is more likely to foster corruption. I see THAT (corruption) leading to monetary wealth. Just look at those in power today; rampant cronyism that's made their friends richer beyond belief.
