I am possibly 15 days late (cycles are irregular but have been getting them monthly) with my period and for the last few weeks I have been experiencing the following symptoms: no bleeding spotting or discharge, off and on pain throughout stomach (probably mostly caused by gas), a stretching feeling of my stomach (even when not bloated), growing waistline though no weight gain, hip pain and sensitivity all over (mostly when leaning against things or pushing on that body part), fatigue, nausea every morning unless I eat some bread or crackers, headaches, and I am a total emotional rollercoaster.

Now the thing is that I have taken 5 pregnancy tests over the course of the past few weeks (last one this morning) and all have a negative result. I have a Dr appointment in a few days but just wondering if this could be something other than pregnancy or if it's possible my HCG levels are just really low.

Any help is appreciated, I just have this weird feeling I am (we are not trying)

So in response to the question of whether I feel this way when I PMS, the answer is yes I have some of the symptoms (but it's usually more a feeling of having to go to the bathroom), no I don't have others. The only problem I have is that it has been consistent symptoms for the past 2-3 weeks. So yes it could be PMS, but I have never experienced it for this long before.

Girl, I really think that you may be pregnant. It could be that your HCG is off. It also could be the test that you are using. One question though, do you ever feel this way when you are fixing to start your period? If not I would think that you are pregnant. Congrats if you are.

NOTE: Yes, the test can show negative up to 15 days or more. That's what happened to my sister with both of her pregnancies. Since the test kept showing negative she didn't think that she was pregnant until she started having morning sickness.
PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE OR NOT OKAY?

What else could this be? Hmmmm - too soon to tell, but it could be something related to your hormones, you don't state your age, but I'm guessing you're not the age for menopause. Some women have early onset / symptoms of menopause. Are you overly stressed? That can cause a period to skip a month. Are you extremely thin / athletic? Some women who have a very low body fat content will have their periods stop or skip months. Is there a possibility of pregnancy? Well, you're the only one with an answer for that. Were you sexually active since your last period? I assume the answer is yes. Then yes, you might be pregnant. However, the home and in office tests are extremely sensitive now. Most can detect pregnancy hormones in as little as 1-2 days post conception. That is usually prior to when a woman would think she is pregnant or has missed a cycle. Do you have any other symptoms of pregnancy? Nausea. Feeling tired or run down. Breast tenderness. Most women have a pretty good idea before they pee on the stick. I'd say repeat the home test in one week (just to be sure) and then give it another month. If you miss 2 cycles in a row without a positive pregnancy test, then its time to re-visit the doctor (preferably an OB/GYN) to figure out what is going on. Best of luck and I hope the pergnancy test comes out the way you are hoping (either yes or no).

If you were far along enough to be have missed a period, and have other symptoms, then the tests would have been positive by now, no matter what brand you used. The HCG hormone is what causes some of these symptoms and the rise in it makes the syptoms worse. The tests dont need the levels to be all that high in order to get a positive result. You should see a doctor because something is definitly going on, but I doubt you are pregnant.

Ask your doctor about getting a blood test for pregnancy. This is the most accurate you can get. At any doctor's office, if they test your urine, they are using the same type of tests that you would use at home.

Stressing out about a missed period can cause it to be late. I have had that issue a couple of times. I was once 3 weeks late, and lo and behold it started.
