Right now my chief concern is the war in Iraq and the Middle East in general. I would like to see the War on Terror truly addressed instead of policing a civil war in Baghdad while the terrorists grow in numbers and power in other areas of Iraq and in Afghanistan. So for me, it comes down to choosing the person I think has the best plan and will be the most capable at handling the diplomacy and world relations that we need to reignite and restore. Domestically, I want to see something really done about health care, immigration, our borders and our ports instead of a lot of lip service and plans that never come to pass.

Honest - The biggest thing that has been lacking in the present administration.
Charisma - The country is so divided that we need someone that can build a consensus.
Patience - We need to do things over a period of time. Sometimes we rush to do everything at once and do not do the homework to do it right. To deal with our issues, you must have patience.
Humility - (Also lacking in this presidency) No one can know all of the answers. We need a person that can build a team that works together to get the job done.
Fresh Ideas - There has been a lot of talk about the amount of experience that the candidates have in public service. That is better than someone that has so much experience that they think that the status quo is the only way to solve the problems. The existing method of running the government (both Democratic and Republican) does not work. We need a new way of running the country.

Someone who knows, understands and will actually follow the Constitution and the bill of rights!
Understanding the difference between a Democracy and a Republic, and knowing which the U.S.A. IS, is essential!
A firm grasp of the significance of the Federalist Papers would be a plus.

I honestly think at this point all Democrats, Greens and Independents should vote Democrat. This is because either a Democrat or a Republican is going to win. At all costs we must get the Republicans out of office.

Someone more interested in "We The People" than "Me The Egomaniac"! The only one I see that fits my above #1 requirement is:

I'd be behind him if he was a Republican or Socialist or Green or even Communist. I believe he would make a great leader because he isn't phony and walks his talk.
