Hi Linda,
That is such a hard question with teenagers now a days !
I know when my daughter turned 16, I had a party for
her and gave her money, then I took her shopping !
They have so much now, that it's just very hard to figure
out what to get them.

A Starbux card!
I don't know if it's true where you live, but here all the teenagers hang out at Starbux, drinking lattes and frozen frappacinos, coffee, hot chocolate, etc.
It's the bar scene for teens--our babysitters and their friends meet other friends there, they go after movies, games, etc. and just "hang."
If this 16 year-old doesn't drive, maybe it's because she
doesn't have a car. In that case a "great" gift for her would be ..... a car!!!
(Just kidding)
Is this 16 year-old a friend, or your daughter? If she's your daughter, you should give her something special for this milestone birthday. Like a ring, or a Bible, or a special necklace.

Depends on what you want to spend. Alot of teens like the nintendo ds....mine do anyway. A new cell phone maybe? Money or gift cards are always good because when you're a 16 yr old girl it's all about the style!! Yea I may be old but I do recall being 16 lol - ipod or mp3 player always good too!

Gift bag full of "girlie" things!
Even a Ms. would enjoy that.
We know how much money we spend to be pretty!
However, I am a card gal. Give me a good Hallmark, and what is in the bag is great!
BTW.... Don't forget a cool cell phone cover, with the small pocket purse.

if its your daughter i would get her a diamond ring for her sweet 16. thats what we did with both our daughters. nothing real expensive but nice and they both loved theirs.
