Take whatever happened and view it as a lesson learned. But never forgive or forget . Because one day you may have to draw on that sad event and the lesson you learned.

It is impossiable to forgive someone without forgetting, that is why I hate the phrase so much.
In order to forgive the person you must people able to get over what they have done to you - thus forgetting it. However, poeple now a days can seldom to that.
If you say "I forgive you - but I'll never forget it - "then you haven't really forgiven anything at all.

I find it easier not to care hehehe. I'm a bit sensitive so that's a defense mechanism. It's easier to forgive, forgetting takes a longer time for me.

I think I am able to forgive but not forget for I have to become aware and protected myself not to be treated or cheated like that again.

The brain always retains memory ,
When someone does something bad however ,
I often chock it up to 'mental illness' , and make sure to avoid the 'ill' person in the future .
Forgiveness doesn't really play a part for me .

Neither. Though they are supposed to come together, upon forgiving you are supposed to put it behind you and "forget". I'm not good at doing either.
