yesterday, i was driving when i noticed one of my tires seemed a little deflated. I drove it to the gasoline station and began filling it with air but the usual sound of the air pump was odd and the tire did not get re-inflated. I thought maybe the air pump was broken so i took it to another gasoline station and the same thing happened. There aren't any sounds of air leaking through. Why wont the tire inflate? Is the valve broken or something? What should I do?

The valve stem where you put in the air may have a bad core or the airchuck on the gas station air hose may not be fully depressing the core. The core is a tiny little spring-loaded valve that is inside the valve stem and when you press the airchuck of the hose onto the valve stem, the little stud inside the airchuck should depress this spring loaded core and allow air to enter the tire. Sometimes, you have to press really hard on the airchuck to get this core to depress fully and you may want to examine it to see if it's centered in the valve stem...if it's not centered, the airchuck won't depress it properly. If you go to a parts store, they can show you a new one to compare what it should look like....they also have a special little tool to replace these cores with a new one but you will lose a lot of air in the tire in the process so be sure you're close to a pump if you do it yourself.
Good luck, Paul

i own a shop, and there may be blockage in the valve stem core or something on it that's causing this to happen ,i have a lawn mower tire that like this, you cant hardly make it take any air at all,but sometimes the valve stem will get blocked or messed up and cause this to happen,id try that though and if not you may have to change out the valve stem in that one tire, good luck with it hope this helps.

There may be a problem with the valve stem. If there is a leak in the tire, when you have the leak fixed, go ahead and put in a new valve stem. Good luck

There is probably a hole in it and you have to get it patched up or replaced.

There is some stuff in a can (fix-a-flat?) that you just spray inthere and it coats the inside and fills the hole...
