First, they wanted to end the war and nothing was going to stop them. Now, since Bush has given both a "slap", if you will, they are seeking compromise. The translation of that is they are going to give Bush exactly what he wants. Liberals were voted in in November to end the war and now they are going to be funding it. What have liberals done since taking over in January except pass non-binding resolutions, say the war is lost, kiss the feet of Syria's president, and back down?

They will continue to try and get the troops out before 2008 - it's the only way they can continue to blame the republicans for the war AND the aftermath.
If they are elected and the troops are still in Iraq, they will have to decide if they want the responsibility of the inevitable consequences of an early withdrawal before the country is fully stabilized - and they basically won't know what the hell to do at that point.

Yeah, well, what can be done? Bush is too stupid to save the lives of American troops by forcing the Iraqi government to step up to the plate.
I don't mind an American presence in Iraq...it will be necessary basically until a shortage of oil sends the mideast into meltdown mode.
However, I don't like the fact that the same troops are being sacrificed in rotation after rotation to that hellhole.
How have you contributed to the American success? Unless OIF vet, you really don't have a reason to support the mess.
I favor the draft. Let's get all of America physically involved in "Bush's Blunder".

My Main Man, Billy! You are so on top of it, Chief! They're spineless! They have no values. No platform. No cause-n-effect. They want our lives, in their hands. Now, with folks like me & you speaking up. They see thier power draining away. And they're scared! Good work, tonight!
