You can only edit re-writable CD's. If this is the type of CD you used, you can right click on the CD's icon and select format. Then you can start over.

Well, first of it has to be a CD-RW (re-writable) otherwise the data will always be on there. If it is an CD-RW then using a program such as Nero, just burn a CD like normally and it should erase the previous data.

if your media CD is CD-RW, then you can erase the data inside with any burning program such as Nero Burning ROM. if your media is just CD-R then you cannot erase the data inside but you can add other data into the CD-R (if there's a multisession)

You can only do that if the cd is rewritable. Usually it will say cd-rw on it. If it only says cd-r then you are s.o.l. and can't edit the songs on the cd.

YOU CAN ONLY ERASE SONGS FROM A CD TO RE-RECORD IF IT IS A REWRITEABLE- CD-RW CD. THEN WHEN YOU GO TO BURN SONGS JUST ERASE THE ENTIRE CD AND RERECORD THE SONGS YOU DO WANT ON IT!

Let Windows Media Player (or other software) rip them to your hard drive, then pick & choose what you like.
