This question has been answered ad-nauseasm. Bush
told the Congress in advance that he would definitely
veto their bill if it included a definite pull-out of Iraq date.
The dummies went ahead and spent 3 months coming up
with this stupid bill that did include the time for defeat in
Iraq plus they also put in over a BILLION dollars worth of
the congressmen"s pet pork projects> no wonder Bush
vetoed it, but he warned them way in advance so they
knew without a doubt it would not pass. Then they tried to
override his veto but didn't have enough votes to get the
job done. Stupid liberals.

Have you read the bill??? Let me see, it mandated a time line for withdrawal not to say anything about the BILLIONS of dollars in pork that was in it. You realize that the only reason it passed the Congress was due to the BILLIONS of dollars in pork.

He didn't, he vetoed a surrender bill. The Dem's need to quit using our Troops as political pawns, it's outrageous.

Because it set a time limit to withdraw troops from Iraq and it had billions of dollars worth of pork spending unrelated to the war on terror.
