Proxima Centauri is 4.2 light years away, so A it is.

And Vincent is correct about it being Proxima Centauri. People tend to think it's Alpha Centauri, but it's not.

Alpha Centauri is the closest star system consisting of 3 stars. It is appx. 4.2 LY away from our sun.

Well I actually measured this last night, ironicaly. I found it to be about 31 inches, give or take an inch depending on which side of the yard I was standing.
