I usually hate what if questions but would like to know the liberal plan when the terrorists take over Iraq and are better able to stike us at home? Do you tell the fire department to stop putting out a fire at your neighbors house when it seems to be lost when it has a 90% chance of catching your house on fire? I have seen all the absolute hatred for Bush and co. for continuing the war on terror. I need to know your plan for the aftermath. I will not stand for smart alec answers with no substance this is a serious situation.

Chi Guy is not a liberal. LMAO. And to answer your question, they will be slaughtered. Of course the mass liberal media will cover very little of it.

If it is the terrorist who take over Iraq, who started the war with a non-terrorist state who had nothing to do with 9/11?

It wasn't Iraq who let them in!

There is no war on terror! That is a misnomer for a blank check!

Why are we in the middle of a sectarian civil war that Bush allowed to happen by not putting enough troops in in the first place.

You had Saddam, your friend you put into power hung, they have no WMD's. Why are we there? Why did we ever go there?

Sorry, but troops being killed in a civil war that is not ours is for them to fight and decide who will be the government. Not us!

We are just keeping it going because we want to keep the puppet government and the oil! Why don't you just admit it!

The 3,639 military who have died there don't seem to matter to you, nor the ones who are going to die!

If you are so pro-Iraq and military, why is it then that you keep cutting the Veterans Hospitals who are currently treating 105,000 military from the Iraqi war? You going to deny all their benefits like you have others in almost every war we fought, from PTSD, to Agent Orange and Blue, The Gulf War Syndrome and to those the military had line the test craters for the Atom bomb in the 1940's, and soon those who have been breathing depleted uranium when they start getting genetic defects for kids and come down with cancer?

You want them to fight and die for nothing, but you aren't willing to pay for It!

Why don't you ask a serious question!

And for cutting and running, try Nixon in Vietnam and Reagan who ran after 242 Marines were killed in a barracks blast in Lebanon! By the way, they were the same people he later sold arms and aircraft parts to!

So what your saying is that America
is to be in Iraq forever & ever because
the Iraqi's will NEVER, EVER
be able to stand up on their own 2 feet?
Should we be paying all their debts, should
we be wiping their noses everytime they sneeze?

Bush laughs & dances
while American & Iraqi mothers cry...

FYI...this is not a smart alec answer
but a REALITY answer...

Depend on us for what? helping create a huge bloodbath of sectarian violence? They're going to keep blowing each other up with or without us there, God anyone who doesn't get that should see a freaking shrink cause it's sure time for a reality check, what happened in the USA from 1861 to 1865? Oh yeah right a CIVIL WAR, how'd that work out did America fall? Nope still standing and so will Iraq if we let them work it out for themselves, hell only 5-7% are even foreign fighters according to the DOD

Bad news friend. Every day we get the reports out of Iraq of U.S. military casualties, Shiite civilian casualties, Iraqi military casualties, and Iraqi police casualties. Notice anything missing? TERRORIST and INSURGENT casualties!!! This is how we measure our failure there. We're not killing the enemy. We can't IDENTIFY them from the civilians. Same as Vietnam.
It's frustrating because we want to build a new and improved Iraq, and it isn't going to happen by OUR HANDS. We're despised too much there.
Now, on the other hand, look at Anbar province and some other Sunni areas away from Bahgdad. The Sunnis, themselves are fighting Al Qaeda, and other terror groups. We need to provide Iraqi forces, including tribal militias, with training and intelligence. Oh wait! They are OUR SOURCE of intelligence and they seem capable of identifying and killing the enemy with us out of the way.

We've been holding the reins super tight in Washington for the duration of this war, Rumsfeld being the super control freak. In the early stages of the war, Revolutionary Guardsmen of Saddam were putting down their guns and walking away from battle. Rumsfeld ordered our forces to allow them to walk away, believing FOOLISHLY that they actually would welcome the U.S. forces. Well, those 'escapees' are now the insurgents. Ironically, we're in trouble there because Rumsfeld and Bush were SOFT! I'm a liberal, and I would have gotten rid of the embedded reporters (remember them?) and killed every Revolutionary Guardsmen in sight. Sorry, but that's war, folks. By allowing them to escape, they merely regrouped and resorted to plan b; guerilla warfare. No surprise there.

For the Conservatives who started this war; who bears the greater responsibility for all the needless deaths?
I don't buy your analogy. This is a civil war we touched off by creating a political vacuum. Staying and fighting in this Stalingrad we created serves no real benefit. We need to leave, get the other nations in the Middle East to move in and stabilize things, pay reparations and learn from these mistakes.

Pay attention: there is no cut and run...the Iraqis have a year to get their sh*t together, at which point they are on their own...they are dependent upon us because of poor planning and a lack of an exit strategy

I am not going to run into my neighbor's burning house to save his plasma TV.

We are not responsible for the Iraqi people. However we do need to secure our borders.

Not a liberal.

They will stand up on their own two feet. Isn't that what Repubs always claim they want everyone to do?

It is their country. They were running it before Bush lied to invade it. They will run it long after Bush's failed policies leave.

Liberals do not care. All that matters as usual is their intentions of not letting any US soldier die is noble.
