Has this country gone raving mad becuase of 9/11?? What exactly makes Guliani qualified to be mayor other than the conincidence of being in office during 9/11. Would anyone else have performed differently as mayor during 9/11??

I agree with you! He's a poor choice for a candidate. Yea, he went to funerals and held babies after 9/11. I hear he has the morals of a tomcat! But anyway, that's about it! He hasn't done much else... Oh yea he did nominate Bernard Kerick who turns out was a crooked cop! Don't forget that! And who do you think Rudy is really in bed with?

If you look at the difference between Giuliani's response to 9/11 and Nagin's response to Katrina, you will see that another mayor might well have handled 9/11 differently.
And it could certainly be said that being the executive (mayor) of New York City is comparable to being the executive (governor) of most States; so he does have credible experience.
I am not particularly a supporter of Giuliani for president, but I do see that he could be a credible candidate.

First of all, if you're asking a serious question about the Mayor of New York City, please spell his name correctly.

Giuliani preceded 911 by cleaning up the largest city in the United States with the use of political savvy, strength, commitment and guts. He did something for that city that no one in history was able to do. He earned a lot of respect for that.

After 911 he was THE face of the United States people, showing his resolve, courage and leadership. Look how the mayor of New Orleans cowered and did the political two-step after Katrina, blaming everyone else but not his own short falls.

Giuliani is certainly more qualified to be President than the wife of a former President who refused to address her husband's infidelity so that she could ride his coat tails after he left office. Also, she never went to Ground Zero or to any of the funerals of her constituents, my God, they were from the state she represents!
