Sure., If he's the only parent that has raised me. You know, maybe they should invent a Father's Day card for Mother's Day because some people don't have both parents. They only have a mother or a father. And the same goes for Mother's Day. They should invent a Father's Day Card for Mother's on Mother's Day. I think that would be really nice to have.

Probably not! But on Father's Day, I would surely make a big deal out of that day and on that day, I would also make a point of letting him know how special he is to also have raised me not only as my Dad but also did the job of my Mom and how much that meant to me. I'd make Father's Day an Extra Special Day for him and tell him that is because he took the place of both of his parents and that you will always remember and always appreciate that and will always love him. :o)

No if my Dad was still alive I would buy him a Father's day card but never a Mother's day card.

Umm yeah I guess so. Since he was both your mother and father then yeah. I think a thank you twice a year is actually a good idea since he did twice the job! Eh...don't worry about people at work they think it's weird because it's different.

Sure, why not? I never do that for my mom, even though she is a single parent. Seems like a good idea to me, I wouldn't let the people at work change your mind. I bet your dad really appreciates it.

I bought my dad a "happy birthday mom" card once! Who cares what people at work think. Bums and streetwalkers should not be judging you. At least you know who your dad is and speak to him. The bum that lives in the underpass down the street from me doesn't even call his mother. Jerk.

That's so thoughtful of you - I'm sure he loves that you make the effort to appreciate his "mothering" you. I can't imagine how anyone could think this is weird - I thinks it's an amazingly wonderful thing to do.
