I don't care if it is 100% gay or 100% straight. As long as it is safe and full of love

My next door neighbors are a gay male couple on one side and a straight couple with 2 kids on the other, and I talk more to the straight couple. Their sexuality makes no difference.
My ideal neighborhood would consist of people not telling others that they are unequal or wrong. I do not care what my neighbors do in their bedrooms, and they should not care what I do in mine.

an equal mix of of all....and all getting along...all respecting one another. in a perfect world, that would be ideal. I live in a fairly diverse neighborhood. white, black, straight, gay (not a lot of gay, but quite a few), young, old. and there are the handful of neighbors who show no respect to anyone (even had the police called on them a few times...never had that kind of neighbor before). it causes a lot of friction and the rest of us would like nothing better for them to get lost, as they don't seem to care who they piss off.

My ideal neighborhood would have 0% of nobody for acres and acres!!! I'm living around alot of people in a dirty city, and would love to get away from hearing my neighbor clean her pots and pans through the wall.

this is something that we will never know for sure. Many people never come out and the ones that do certainly won't to the whole world. I would estimate 15% of people are lgbt

What matters to me isn't the percentage of lgbt or straight neighbors it's wether I like the majority or not.Everybody's probably had that one bad neighbor.

I'd want to be the only gay household if I were to live in a neighborhood. I don't, I live very rural. You see, I wouldn't want the other gay household to feel left out because I'd be so popular.

Doesn't matter one bit. I'm more worried about open-mindedness than my neighbour's sexual orientation. I don't want to have sex with all of them after all, so it doesn't matter one bit.
The only thing you could argue is that GLBT people beautify areas they move into, so in a slummy neighbourhood they can fix it up, and increase property and rent values.
But aside from beautification, I see no reason to have a preference.
