Good Grief, NO! It is pervasive in the animal kingdom.
Here is a list of animal species where homosexual behavior has been observed:

A recent Ig Noble prize in biology concerned one male duck raping another male duck which happened to be dead. Gay rape is very common in mallards...
Most vertebrate species exhibit same sex sexual contact of some kind. Fewer exhibit homosexuality (that is individual animals with a definite prediliction for same gendered sexual contact.), primates having one of the highest rates. Male homosexuality is thought to be much more prevalent in the animal kingdom than lesbianism.
There are species of monkey where same-gendered coupling is more frequent than "normal" sex.

I've heard of it, but not actually seen it myself. The Discovery Channel said so, so it must be true, right?
If so, it's just another way that the weakest and most unfit members of the species can die out without passing on bad genes to the rest of the herd/flock/etc. Of course, this item can only be said about the animals that show this behavior - it's politically incorrect to say this about humans (whether or not it's true).

It has and always will be a part of human and animal society. There were homosexuals in his time as there are now and always will be. Homosexuality was more acceptable in many ancient cultures and more common as well. Just look at some Grecian urns or bas reliefs.

No definately not. Scientists have just found that a lot of animals go at it with the same sex - some even with their same sex siblings and now believe that that is why we are the same way.

This has been done to death. You can see the behaviour everywhere in the animal kingdom. Heck even the NYC zoo had a pair of male penguins that were in a same-sex relationship. I remember this one, it was on Regis and Kelly.

Most species have it. I'd suggest you do further research...all the data is out there.

You must not have discovery channel! There are many monkeys, horses and other prideful rainbow carrying gay animals. Darn, I've seen gay dogs! Just keep on living, you'll see. :-)
