It's funny that you ask this question, because I swear I looked up the word "cool" in the dictionary just the other day.

What makes something "cool"? Does it mean something that's:

1) Trendy?

2) Rebellious?

3) Fashionable?

Well, this is my etymology (word history) on the word cool: Originally, people used the word "cool" negatively, like, "That person acted cool towards me," instead of "That person acted warm towards me."

Cool describes someone who is cold, stand-offish, uninterested, and independent.

So who's really cool in my book?

JAMES DEAN BABY!
