Okay. I've decided to go to my 8th grade dance but I don't know what to wear. Its Semi-formal and I was thinking something along the lines of a simple but nice black dress? - I'm not really into dresses so I suppose this is about as 'dressy' as it is going to get.

But.. It has to have sleeves, a little cover jacket/shaw or at least like 2 inches across the shoulder.. does any one have any links or pictures of suggestions? I'm having a really hard time.. Thanks!

I love Newport News because they have some very nice things for not a lot of money.

I have included a link to a little lacy shrug:

And a very nice dress that goes well with it:

If those are too fancy, and not simple enough, take a look around the site. They have a lot of cute little black dresses.

I hope you have a super time at your dance. I almost didn't go to my 8th grade dance, but I ended up having a great time and being really happy I went.

And BTW, Newport News has shoes, accessories and handbags, as well. Check out the whole site.

Go to Charlotte Russe. They have really cute dresses there.

My school had the same dress code requirement - the girls just brought Juicy jackets or whatever and took them off once the dance started!
