choose a song list that would fit your voice, by this you'd be comfortable singing and enjoy.
Try experimenting on your voice, try different techniques that may expose your inner voice.
Doesn't really matter what songs you should choose
what matters is.... Karaoke is made for fun!!

Oooh, I do lots of them! I'm a junkie. Sarah McLachlan's Building a Mystery is my favorite and then If My Heart Had Wings by Faith Hill. I have a whole list...let's go together, that would be fun, huh? :)
