I have only been here since 1953, hahaha, It is estimated that the first version of what could be considered man, may be as long as 4 million yrs. ago. Homo erectus I believe. As for man as we are today, only 50 to 80 thousand yrs.

Depends on what species you would call the "first man". Homo sapiens (Cro-Magnon) has probably been around for 50,000 years, Neanderthal Man for perhaps 200,000. The first homonoid off the main "ape" sequence has been dated to about 4 million years.

Define "man". And, I hope by "time" you mean how many millions of years ago, not what time of day.
Most researchers would say that homo sapiens first appeared about 250,000 years ago; the sub-species h. sapiens sapiens about 180,000 years ago.
If you include H. erectus, H. ergaster, and H. heidelbergensis, then you can go back 2 million years about.
