Bettas can lay up to 500 eggs. The male will put them into a bubble nest after spawning with the female.

Before breeding make sure you know what you will be doing with the fry! Having 100+ new fish with nowhere to go is not a good thing! Some fish stores will take them for storecredit or even cash, and you can always do the e-bay thing, but be sure you can ship them safely!

Typically about 200-300, but of course only a small percentage of those usually make it to adulthood.
