Yes, I guess I was a renegade and got the info from friends and school when I was probably around 10ish. This is kind of embarrassing but my parents actually tried to give me "the talk" when I was like 18 or 19 and starting college! We were all going somewhere in the car I was like WHOLLY CRAP, and almost threw myself out the door on the freeway. Maybe they forgot to talk to me about it during the first 18 years when I was a kid and all of a sudden remembered it.

I was 10 1/2 and that was when I first started my "monthlies" and my mom took be aside and basically explained what I should not do in order not to have babies. It was quite a shock to me, for sure. I knew about the " monthlies" from Girl Scouts but the other information and also the fact that it was my mom talking, knocked my socks off. :o)

My mom told me a very scientific and matter of fact version when I was 7. Best thing she could have ever done. I never listened to all the stupid things kids come up with because I knew the truth. Now I can come to my mom with anything w/o being embarrassed.
