WOWWWW What a question!!!!!!! How long does your answer have to be?
As mentioned earlier, industrialization played a big role. The ability of the US to mass produce variety of weapons from guns to bullets to tanks and planes and ships was maintained on an unprecedented level.
The military training and tactics across the board rivalled each of the Axis nations. From the land battles to the air force to the breadth of the oceans, the US had commanders and enlisted that elevated the heights of valor.
Unity is another thing the US provided. Americans became unified and determined after Pearl Harbor to defeat the enemy at any cost. We did not try to make the enemy here at home but looked to where the real enemy was. We committed ourselves to the enemy's destruction regardless of the length of time. That is why we never flinched after Normandy when we lost over 10,000 troops in a single day.
Finally, the US made heroes who stood up and took the fight to the enemy. Even though fellow heroes died next to them, they continued on. These heroes, many of whom were forgotten or were never found, continuously pressed the enemy because they knew that freedom was at stake.

My advice to you: READ! If you have to ask what this nation did to help win the 2nd W.W., you need to read the history of the war. If you are an American, you need to know how much was sacrificed for you to be able to dismiss this information as just a report. If you are not American, then you should know how much the USA gave for your country to keep it free. Sorry, I don't mean to sound harsh, but that war was so much more than a report & I find it disturbing that one has to ask this question even if you are only a school kid.

Joined the side that looked like winning in Europe after Japan declared war on them, this tipped the balance at the end. They also financed and gave shelter to the British and German scientists who developed the A bomb which enabled them to finish part 2 of the war that was forced on them by the Japanese.

We bombed Germany's manufacturing sector into the ground. Of course at huge losses to ourselves. Destroyed their Air Force and cut vital supply lines(which both in fact were the overall deciding factor in the European and African campaigns). Asia pacific was the invention and implementation of the atomic bomb.

Fought in many places in the world and we lost so many many men. They had good Generals who knew how to plan and when to attack.Never backed down. Back then Our soldiers were mostly untrained yet fought a good fight with little military equipment. And most of all they all believed America was worth saving.

1. We provided massive amounts of war fighting material.
2. Provided massive numbers of troops, especially against Japan. We also provide most of the troops in Europe as well if you don't count the Russians.

We weren't afraid to go out & KICK BUTT even though we started behind weapons wise. As far as dropping the 2 nukes on Japan - so WHAT? Millions more would've died if we'd invaded Japan itself. Sure many died & they weren't innocent as some claim. They supported a form of government bent on dictatorshup. If you want to play the game you'd better be able to take the hits.

We helped the allies with supplies. We sent our own armies over there and we dropped the atomic bomb on Japan.
