His fault was that he came to play Indian cricket. He could have gone to England and played there like Monty Panesar.

I partially agree with you. If he was selected for the world cup squad then he should have been given a chance to play but unfortunately India did not get many games to play. Irfan is not in best of forms for quite a while now and the tragedy is that he is not willing to learn from his mistakes. He did not consult with his bowling guru Wasim Akram when his bowling was going wayward and one could think that fame and wealth had got into his mind so he did not need any advise. Now that, I am sure, he must be back on earth he may learn to bowl well and restore his reputation as a good bowler.

i am completely disagreeing with ur comment. india is kown to have a fleshy batting line up, and a skinny bowling attack.
irfan pathan is not a bunny with his bat,i agree, but his bowling has degraded in the pAST few years.he was considered as a good catch to the team, especially because of his wicket taking opening spell, where he used to keep the batsmen guessing with his swing bowling.but gone are those days, and now because of his lack of practice, or some other reason, he 's has become as good a bowler as a slow left arm orthodox with no spin.and u can reason out how useful(less) he can be for the team.he was taken for one practice match against west indies where he chipped in with 3 wkts, but to be true he was not doing any magicwith his 99 kph balls.top order batsmen were amused to see a so -called medium fast bowler bowling at a speed lower than the speeds in which their spin bowlers like samuels and gayle used to bowl.lara was trying to play an expansive pull ,but the bowl didnt have enough sting even to reach the batsman and he was c&b.
now you may ask whether such a bowling isnt necessary ,as long as he's picking wkts.remember that this will happen oly for one time, nxt time if he balls in the same way he will despatched to all corners of the ground(once his pace is picked by the batsmen)
so his exclusion to the eleven is fully justified, but they could have send him back to india rather than keeping him in the squad &giving him hopes to play.

There is no fault. Actually, I think they dropped because he was not in form. He started his career good but faded away. In a few matches, he didn't take any wickets but gave away lotsa runs. He is not playing the Ranji trophy matched also good. So, they jus left him. I know its unfair. the BCCI only likes ppl from Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi. They are still keeping tendulkar(Mumbai). He should have been dropped long ago. They made Dravid(Bangalore) as captain. They are still giving last chances to Sehwag(Delhi). While they drop Pathan(Gujarat) and Sourav Ganguly(Kolkata). They dropped Ganguly for no reason and now, when they brought him bak, he showed his talent. BCCI sucks!

Irfan Pathan started doing very well in bowling before Greg spoiled his bowling with help of Rahul-- captain. Irfan had few batting-performance but before shining his bowling capabilities , they ask him to bat at different number even 3.
You can not make allrounder , it comes by itself. Grag and Rahul just spoiled his bowling talent. What I heard.. Greg was always asking him to practice for Batting .Now he has lost confidence. He has not been treated fair by Captain Rahul(no leadership) and selectors.

I too agreewith you. Having selected in the World Cup Squad, he shoul,d have been tried out in atleast the game with Bermuda. Afte not giving any opportunity to prove his
form it is quite unfortunate that he has been dropped from Bangladesh Tour. In fact the Bangladesh Tour wouild have been most ideal for him to regain his lost confidence and form.
