is there a possibility of pregnancy if you had sex 1 week before the expected menstruation????(i have a 29 days cycle) i experienced some signs of pre menstrual syndrome even before we did it (ex.sensitivity of the breast when touched)

Women usually ovulate around 14 days after the first day of the last period. For Example: If you started your last period on April 1st- You ovulated on or around April 14th or maybe sooner, around the 7th. Every woman is different. You can only get pregnant if you are ovulating. I suggest that if you have an absence of Menstruation- that you get 2 home pregnancy tests. If the first one is positive-you will want to test again immediately to make sure that you are correct! Take the test first thing in the morning- the first urination you make...the preg. hormone hCg is strongest with the morning's first urine. Sometimes stress and psyching yourself out can delay a period. Who knows why, I guess it's to teach us to be more careful! Whatever happens, Good Luck!
