If you don't feel the baby move that is a problem. If you just don't feel contractions then that is okay.

Of course it's ok. Mother nature has a way of knowing when the time is right. My son was almost 3 weeks "overdue" according to the doctors, and he weighed 9'2" and had a full head of 4 inches long thick hair. He was born when he was ready. I am one that does not believe in induction just for the doctor's or the hospital's schedule, or any other reason except medical necessity.
Those little apples fall off the tree when they are ripe. Don't worry.

It will happen eventually when you least expect it! Your baby and body will know when it is time. Keep in mind that the doctors usually allow a 2 week window on due dates so you might have to wait a bit longer. Just go about your everyday routine but let someone know where you are or what you are doing just in case it is time and you need to go to the hospital. Good Luck MOM!

Due dates are just estimates. Plus or minus 2 weeks is still normal gestation. My babies were 11 and 6 days "late." Movement usually slows down at the end of the pregnancy. That said, trust your instincts. If you feel like something is wrong, you can always get checked out.

You should call your doctor just to make yourself feel better. Sometimes, right before giving birth the baby is so big that it can't really move very easy so you feel far less. I have 3 kids 22, 16, and 11 and that happened with all of them. I was sure there was something wrong and thank God everything was fine. Just call your doctor to be safe.

a due date is simply an estimate of when the baby wil be born an average based upon the fact that a normal pregnancy is from 32 to 40 weeks in length. If you're not over 40 weeks then you're not overdue.

If you are not feeling any movement from your baby then go into a doctor as soon as possible for them to check the heartbeat.

But if you mean you haven't felt any labor contractions, that's normal. Your due date might be off a little. Just be patient and baby will come when ready.

Best of luck.

My ob told me to get some orange juice or something sweet, and eat or drink it. Then lay on my left side.

If I don't feel any kicks or movement within the hour to call the office and they will either put a monitor on my belly, or do an ultrasound.

It is better to be safe.

If you are worried, I would call your ob, or go to the er to hear or see your baby.....you will feel much better knowing all is well with your little one.

I bet once you have a treat and lay on your left side, your little one will kick......

Most ob's will not let you go past 10 days overdue.

I hope this helped...

Good Luck!!!

A due date is just an approximation - not an exact. You can be perfectly on time a couple days either side. If you are worried because you don't feel the baby, call your doctor and voice your concerns.

What does your OB/GYN say? What is he/she going to do if you don't start labor on your own? What time frame do you have to work with? You don't want to wait to long, because the baby may get so big you can't have him/her naturally, then they would have to do a C-seciton. I would be up in the doctors lap, wanting to know the answers to those questions.

Have you started walking to try and get your labor to start. That is what started my first one....Good luck!
