the reason why I am so worried and scared is because my husband is in the Navy and active duty. Were he will be deploying Sometime in Novemeber maybe the first week of that month. and I cant wait to have a family and start having kids but I want my husband to be there for everything and not miss a thing. If I got pg now he would miss the birth of our child and 3 months or more of his or her life growing and learning

Not impossible, but highly improbable...
Typically-- if you have a regular cycle-- you ovulate midway through your cycle...like around day fourteen, counting from the 1st day you started your period. You have to have produced an egg, via ovulation to get pregnant...
Usually when you are having your period you are cleaning out your system and the unfertilized egg (from your last period) is flushed out as well...
There have been cases where women have gotten pregnant though.. like I said, highly doubtful...
EDIT:
Come back and let us know if you are, like I said, I doubt it will happen...

Yes, you can get pregnant ANY time of the month, so unless you are ready to be parents, use something every time. (The most common time frame for conception is 10-14 days after the first day of your last period, but that is only if you have textbook 28 day cycles, and your homones act the same every month! Few of us do that.) Women can ovulate and be fertile any day of the month. And by the way, the "pulling out" method does NOT work. There is sperm present in the pre-ejaculate, the fluid that is in his penis even BEFORE he climaxes. So even if you fool around, and he never even ejaculates while he is with you, if there is ANY penis/vaginal contact, you CAN become pregnant.

Yes, you can get pregnant on your period. I know many women that it's happened to. It occurs because you might have ovulated early that month even before your flow was through.
I don't understand why you are scared, though. Pregnancy is a very natural thing and a baby is a miracle and a blessing. Do you and your husband not want to add this blessing to your marriage?
Please don't worry.

OK since you said husband, I will not give the STD lecture.
sperm can live in the womans body for 4 days. We have 3 days of infertility during our cycle. Because we have 2 ovaries that are not always in sync, this is not always during your period!
Buy some condoms!

Yes its possible. In fact, I got pregnant while I was on my period. We planned it, but yea its very possible.
And also, I think you need to have a serious talk with him, if hes not pulling out and not telling you. If you dont want a baby and hes doing that on purpose I would be very angry.

No. As long as you were on your period, you can NOT get pregnant. If you were lightly spotting (Not in full flow), then yes, it is rare but possible. But if you were legitimately on your period, there is no way you can get pregnant.
PS. I used this method for four years successfully.
