John Wilkes Booth was a murderer. He assassinated President Lincoln, which, in turn, resulted in the Civil War, the single bloodiest war of our history. Of course, as a result of the war, along with the steps President Lincoln had taken prior to his death, the slow, but steady march towards the abolishment of slavery in America began. John Wilkes Booth was a villain. It was President Lincoln who was the hero. I'm from Florida.

I was born in Texas-- currently living in Northern California
John Wilkes Booth was a supporter of slavery--unlike his family who did not support slavery--

well, it was good and it was bad. the good part is lincoln was dead. booth killed 1 man. lincoln killed over 600,000 of america's best. mostly white men and women. and destroyed the south after the war. but i beleive i had rather he live, if he was going to send all the blacks back, because look at the damn mess we have in this country now. p.s. i still hate yankees.

Well shooting people is bad no matter what. *And Abe freed the slaves over politics, not because he liked black people. It was a political movement rather human rights.
