It sounds like you were that Linda, under your maiden name. Anne Rice once said in an interview that she liked to pick up people on sunny beaches because that way she could be sure they were not vampires. There were a lot of beaches and a lot of pickups so unless she answers you directly here on Yahoo we will all probably never know. But just-in-case we readers of her books and of the magazine articles about her will stay tuned to get one more detail of her odd life. She always chose the best or so she claimed in one of her later interviews.
