Jews, homos, Slavs, communists, and gypsies were not considered as part of the master race and the enemy of the master race. There was no place to send them so they were used as slave labor if possible but otherwise killed. As a believer in social Darwinism, the "unfit" had no reason to survive so he believed killing them logical.

The Holocaust was started primarily because Hitler blamed all the problems the Germans had on the Jews. He had told the people of Germany that the Jews caused them to loose the first world war. The Propagandaministerium escalated the hatred of Jews with the help of Josef Goebbels. See if that will help.

Well, I would start by reading "Mein Kempf," by Adolf Hitler. Though it is his public story on what he was planning. It was opportunity, a vicious cycle of debt, & history that landed in the lap of Hitler. The opportunity came out of no one wanting to run Germany effectively after the 1st WW and them not having the power to effectively run a government due to treaties held against them mostly from France but supported by Britain. The vicious cycle of debt was generated from the remnant debts of WW1. They decided not only to basically dismantle Germany, but also to tax it for reparations from them starting the war to begin with. Though this may have been fully justifiable it still left innocent civilians starving and dying. So, Germany borrowed the money from us, to pay France, So, France could pay us back for war debt also accumulated during WW1...are you starting to see were this is going? In short, there was no real money being circulated, just the same money changing hands and no one getting anywhere. Germany was still starving, but not being attacked. The history of the Jewish nation is one of living on the out-skirts of other societies. They did not have a Country to call their own so they made settlements in many nations. The nations normally welcomed them in a Catch-22 type style. They did not like the Jewish nation always doing better than their own states. The Jewish people are very resilient, (most of time) prosperous, & above all knowledgeable. This can make a people a target when they do not have their own country nor army at which to defend themselves. In short, Hitler wanted their wealth for the German people....unfortunately he did get a lot of it. Just a personal note: This story is one of Ultimate human tragedy...where everyone is to blame. Including America...There was an Evian conference in 1938 where Hitler told the world "Take the Jews or I will kill them." The Banana Republic was the only nation that stepped up and took 500 jewish people with them. America declined in taking anyone what-so-ever. As did Britain & France.

Capitalism was in crisis. Germany, and for that most of the world, was in constant recession. High unemployment, high inflation, no security and much discontent. The unemployed were desperate. In Germany they had it particularly bad. Then, as you get all around the world, somebody came along and said 'It's their fault, they're taking all the jobs, they're claiming all the benefits, they're causing our people to live like this, etc etc. Hitler chose to blame Jewish people, as a lot of the far right still do. The desperate workers of Germany believed what they were told and followed his instructions. The decision to gas the Jews was actually, I believe, somebody ese's. However, Hitler thought this to be a good idea and the gassings commenced. Then there was a war with much killing and much destruction, which created much work, and again allowed rich people to continue to get richer.
War is the method that capitalism uses to regenerate itself.

What actually happend and this is documented in many books (including his diary), but not a well know fact. He bace to hate a particular race after the majority of population in that town was of that particular race. He was poor and living on the streets while the majority of business owners in the town were of this particular race. This fuled his hatred. If you are doing a paper on him I would suges reading some of his diary (Mien Kompf).

One reason was that when the communists tried to take over back in the 20's, 8 out of ten of their leaders were jews. Since the left wing was run by jews, the right wind used it to help them get power.

He needed a scapegoat to rally the Germans around for WWII, he blames the Jews for all his problems, gets the country in an uproar, and went from there.

Simply put, he had (as well as many people at the time) a hatred of Jews. He blamed them for everything. The loss of the Great War, the bolshevik revolution, the great depression. He used them as a scapegoat and killed them

I believe one of his relatives possibly his mother died and it was a Jewish doctor that was tending her. From that his anger started on the Jews and it was easier for him to blame one race for all of Germany's problems. He also believe the Jewish were weak and shouldn't breed with the strong and superior German race.
