It depend on what America want, but read this if you like him :
Barack Hussein Obama (born August 4, 1961; IPA pronunciation: [bəˈɹɑk oʊˈbɑ.mə]), is the junior United States Senator from Illinois. The U.S. Senate Historical Office lists him as the fifth African American Senator in U.S. history and the only African American currently serving in the U.S. Senate.

Obama served in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. He launched his campaign for U.S. Senate in 2003. Midway through campaigning as the Democratic nominee, Obama delivered the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention and became a nationally known political figure. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in November 2004 with a landslide 70% of the vote.

In February 2007, Obama announced his candidacy for the 2008 U.S. presidential election. Recent polls of Democratic voters show him narrowing the gap with or surpassing front-runner Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY). Media sources have identified him as "the first black person viewed as a possible winner." In campaign appearances, Obama has emphasized ending the Iraq War and implementing universal health care as leading issues.

It's too early to tell ! He needs to get past this Rezko flap before any more times goes by. You know that Hillary's pit bulls are the ones fanning that flame. You need to believe that she sees Obama as spoiler, and she needs to get him out of the way !

The fact is, the Rerzko flap, as it stands, is extremely damaging to Obama's reputation. Until this matter goes way, Obama is stuck in Limbo ! A lot of Obama's supporters are hoping for a soft landing over this problem, but right now, it's looking bleak !

I know a lot of people like him and he speaks very well, but I don't think he is quite ready for presidency. Maybe he can run as vice president for whoever wins the ticket, get more years under his belt and run in the future. It seems to me more people want him because he is an African American candidate rather than actually see that he has only been in congress for a couple of years.

Under normal circumstances, NO.

However, the republicans have'nt got any decent candidates as of yet (unfortunately), and Hillary Clinton wont make it to the final presidential ballot for the democrats... So the answer is MAYBE if the republicans don't come up with a contender in the next 6 months.

As much as I will like to say yes, just like Jessie Jackson didn't, neither will he, but he will be a strong political leader, like Eleanor Holmes Norton, she is on Hilliary Clintons heels, but we are not united enough to bring this systems of things about. Its up to AL I, Jehovah, Jesus, Amen!

Well, first we have to have caucuses and primaries and then if he makes it through there he must be nominated by his party at their convention. No one knows, yet. It is very possible that he could. He is giving Clinton a run for her money.
