Somewhat.
My mom gave me a 2,000 dollar savings account and told me to use it for college and keep adding some money to it every chance I get. That was two years ago, and I've used all of it by now. The rest, I paid on my own. I usually pay like 300 per semester for tuition and another 250 for books.

And now I'm graduating. In MAY!! :-) Yay me!
Do I get a best answer as a graduation present? :-) It was worth a shot.

I had thought they had, but the last time we brought it up, they said they never Financed it. I'm glad, because at least they don't have to feel bad that I never got anything out of my College Education.

My grandparents left me a trust fund because they died before I was the age to go to college...
I also lost my dad and 2 sets of aunts and uncles when I was young...
But in that trust fund, I paid for 1 year of college and bought my first car...
The rest of the funds paid for my first apartment to move into and furniture...
So maybe a 25% of the funds went to college...
But this was about 30 years ago so prices were a lot cheaper then...

I never went to college. But our son did and my parents and my husband and I finance all of his college education, he does not have any debts. He went on to Grad school for 2 years and we paid for that.

Most of my college education is being financed by grants and scholarships. The remaining is from my mom and aunt.

Yes, 100%. I remind myself to be thankful of this every day. So many of my friends have huge debt cos of college education. I'm lucky, I've been given a head start financially in life. I am a very hard worker though and I this money has not gone to waste. I now have an excellent job. Thanks parents : )

Not at all - I'm finishing my final semester after 6 years towards my 4 year degree. I'm headed to law school in the fall. All of it was covered through loans, grants, and scholarships.
