I really am out of my domain here, but It was just too cute of a question to pass up. I have a crush on my friend, but she lives around 4-1/2 hours away from me and has a boyfriend. I moved too late and now I beat myself up over never telling her how I feel about her (and still do).
I would look for something common among the both of you to use as an ice breaker. Build it into a flirt and see if he'll join the dance with you. He may be a shy individual, so if you start out easy and push along for him to build on it, you may just get right under his radar where you want to be. Then you should be able to take it from there.
You got some very good answers already that you can try out.
All I have to tell you is doing nothing will be the worse thing you can do. Especially if you're feeling this strongly.

well first find out if he's actually available
and if you've been smiling back and forth for a while then you should say 'hi...my mouth's been hurting from all the smiling so i decided to say somthing'... that should be an ice breaker... if ur too shy to say anything try to "bump" into him somewhere... ask for the fake time or fake directions somewhere... or get a friend to bring it up.

best of luck.

First find out who his friends are, and if you know any of them. If you don't, look for one of his friends in one of your classes, and get to know him by sitting near them, picking them as project partners, talking, etc... Then you can teel this friend of his about your feelings toward the boy, and see if they can intriduce you to him. Once you become part of their gang, you can show him what makes you so special. Spend more time with him and he will notice you a lot more.
