My fish is laying on it's side, but it isnt dead. It is just laying there. What do I do?

check the fishes fin and see if they look torn or injured then if u don't see that see if any funny fungi. If u see any of these u need to go either to vet or local pet store and they can give u medicine for both fin rot(fungi) or the torn fin. but if u have other fish in tank with it , it could be possible that it is pregnant and is gonna give birth as well =]

It is dying, not much you can do, time is almost up, but if you have a dirty aquarium put the fish in clean water now, or maybe it was overfeed, don't get to worned up there are plenty fish in the sea.

What else can you tell us? What type of fish? What size? What type of tank? How long has it been in the tank? Is there anything else you can see wrong with the fish? Clamped gills, white fuzzy areas, white tiny saltlike spots, goldeny type spots, reddening areas in the fins/tail/gill area?

Chances are it's going to die within a day or so...I haven't ever had a fish come back once it is acting like that. Sorry =/

I would do two things with this problem. Go to the store and buy MelaFix and aquarium salt and put some in your tank.

freeze it...it sounds mean but they dont feel it and it probubly isnt doing so well and you should put it out of its misery... you might want to have your water tested first. the ph or something might be out of balance
