I had this same problem with my 2006.cr125r, I know you likely fixed the problem after 3 years but anyone that is reading this likely has the same problem and is looking for a solution so here it is. I bought my 2006 cr125r about 2 months ago, it ran good ( for 15 minutes ) then it shut off and fouled a plug, the bike would run awesome for maybe an hour with new plugs, I did an entire top end rebuild, assuming that was the problem ( the piston was extremely worn so... ) then I put in a new plug and tried again, ran for an hour like usual and bam! The darn thing shut off. You have to remember, this is a race bike though so if you ride trails like me DON T run 32-1 run 40-1 as I do. The bike still fouled plugs and I brought it to the dealer, I ended up paying $1300.00 for some repairs and jetting issues, but then when I got the bike it still fouled plugs, turns out all I needed to do was clean out my bottom end, clean out my carburator, get a new jetting needle and go one heat range higher on my spark plug! Such a piss off, but hey, the beuty of a 2 ströke is having that powerband!. Just do yourself a favour and never get a 4 ströke kids, they are more exspensive to service and your always the last one up the hill! Haha

Take it to the shop and have them jet it correctly. Since you are asking this question you obviously don't have a lot of experience with this kind of thing and that is cool. God made mechanics for a reason. When you buy your next bike go 4 stroke and you won't have to worry about fouling plugs any more. Also even if you are jetted perfectly you will still foul plugs if you do not run the bike at high enough RPM's, another disadvantage of the 125 2 stroke. Don't attempt to fix a jetting problem with a different plug. Having your bike jetted is not going to cost a fortune.

--Dirty air cleaner will cause an engine to run rich and foul the spark plug.
--Low compression (worn cylinder, piston & rings). The engine won't have enough strength to compress the fuel mixture and fully ignite it. The unburnt oil in the mixture will foul the spark plug.
--Carburetors don't go out of adjustment and start running rich. Unless you've modified the engine (pipe, reeds, air cleaner, top end), you can rule out the carb being set to rich.
--Right side crank seal leaking. The engine will suck crankcase oil into the fuel mixture.
--Check the air cleaner.
--Check the compression.
--Or remove the exhaust pipe and look in the exhaust port with a flashlight and mirror. If you see any scoring of the piston/cylinder wall, or discoloration below the rings, the top end will need to be rebuilt.

Hi' Sounds like you are runnimg your carb with too rich of a main jet. You say the plug comes out with black soot, that is gas fouling not oil. first thing check your air filter to make sure it is real clean, if this is clean try to go down one jet size on your main jet. Hope this helps. Just a thought is bike hard to start? If so you may have an air leak some place. Doug

Sounds like the wrong kind of plugs. If the plugs are too short then they get fouled with gunk, and if they are too long they dont fire properly for the car. Make sure that you have the proper plugs. Find some forums for your car(?) and ask others what oil they use and what plugs they use. If you are an amateur, dont do anything without consulting a pro or someone who has done something like that before or you will screw up your engine.

What year bike? What plugs are you running? Do you have good compression? Does your bike feel boggy?
I run NGK BR8EG or BR8ES in my cr125. Don't mix at 50:1 that's way to lean. 32:1 or 40:1 is best.
If all else fails, it's your carb.
