Yes, it looks like the proxy might do it.. but I have to strongly join in with all the others, saying that this is just flat out a very risky dangerous thing to do for you.
Even if you succeeded, for however long, there always remains the "trail" of everything you did, or said, every site you visited, everything you clicked on, every comment you typed, every picture you viewed, in short EVERY THING you do or see online....... and that trail is there forever.
I know someone who did this same thing.. and for several years got away with it.. He kept his computer clear of all record of what he did, but of course it was all there on the network drive. Eventually a co-worker who got annoyed with him about something found out about his digressions, and reported him. A check was made of his activity, and he was immediately terminated.
Think you can do this type of thing without being detected? ..especially now that there are more and more automated tracking techniques?
Worth the risk? You decide.

Yeah yeah yeah... Just be honest and tell us the real reason. We all know you want to bypass the filters, so you can watch the porn while you're at work!

oh god, I wouldn't do that, as your employer can view everything your doing on your computer and you could lose your job, it's not worth it, don't do it unless they give you permission, which I know they won't. Most companies are so stick when it comes to you using their Internet and will have no problem in firing you over something small like that. Everything you do on your computer is viewed on their server so you (my space) would not longer be private as the comp geek at your employment can do a lot of harm to you and if he is a perv, then your really screwed. Be very careful

Hi!
Even if you do get around the filter, your work might be monitoring the web traffic, so please be careful. This might work, but I haven't tried it with myspace before. Try typing in http://216.178.38.131
no www. or .com
Please let me know if this gets around the filter or not, because I am curious now.

Go to www.proxybrowser.org and type in the website you want to go to and it will bypass the filter, i learned this from some kids at school.
http://www.proxybrowser.org/cgi-bin/nph-proxy.pl/000010A/http/myspace.com/
That would be myspace.

Well if you want to lose that job then circumvent the system and the company rules. It's a great way to find yourself unemployed.
Why do you suppose they blacklisted it???
Maybe too many employees are wasting too much of the companies time on it.
You need to get serious about life and your job, that is if you value it. Not only that but if you were to get fired for accessing a blacklisted site then guess what; it will follow you for years to come.
Wise up!!!

Not careful and you will have all the time in the world after they fired you. If its a good filter, then even if you can get on, they will be able to track your usage, either block it, or simply fire you for misuse
